It is helpful for nervous depression following wounds, effects of shock and fright. It is useful for injury to nerves, especially fingers, toes, and nails and for lacerations, with intolerable, violent, shooting and sharp pains. Excessive painfulness is the guiding symptom for its use. It is beneficial for painful sore parts, occiput, coccyx etc and punctured or penetrating wounds, which are very sensitive to touch. It is helpful for animal and insect bites, gunshot wounds, pains after operations, neuralgia of the stump and crushed finger tips. It supersedes the use of morphine after operations. It helps in cases with nerve pains as in tetanus, lockjaw, dental pains, and neuritis with tingling, burning and numbness. Pains extend towards the trunk or downsides with crawling and numbness.
